Sustainability vision and goals “ As a sustainable community, Summit County considers the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, by integrating and balancing environmental, economic and social values.” Summit County Council (May 2010) goals 1. Reduce CO2e Emissions of County operations 2. Intensify energy efficiency of existing county buildings 3. Raise fuel efficiency, reduce emissions of county fleet 4. Amplify the use of renewable energy countywide 5. Foster residential, commercial energy efficiency countywide 6. Establish a comprehensive climate action plan 7. Influence the maintenance of air and water quality 8. Incorporate sustainability measures in Land management 9603 acres owned or in easements
