Space to be designed: Great Room Daily activities for space: Cooking, work, entertaining, relaxing, and watching T.V. Lifestyle: Active, business and casual. Hobbies: Mountain biking, skiing, backpacking, traveling, Music, entertaining. Entertaining style: Cooking, casual parties, sit down dining, cocktail parties. Favorite colors: darker shades of blue, dark purple, all metal colors also neutral colors (black, grey, white), also earth tones. Room Impressions: Industrial, spacious, interesting and cold. Favorite wood: Dark tones, driftwood, not to yellow or to red of an under tone. Desired style: A mix between industrial and eclectic. Items to keep: L shaped sofa, 2 grandfathers’ leather chairs, and blue stone island. Budget: 5500 Schedule: Complete by December 2017 Design Problem: Client would like to make all areas flow well together for gatherings, the space connects living room dinning room bar area and kitchen with island. They would like a liquor cabinet to bring together grandfathers black leather chairs. They are also looking to add a small, but long table. They would also like to brighten the kitchen with a color and or back splash.

Design Statement The clients are two young professionals with two small dogs. They are active in sports like mountain biking, skiing, hiking and they also love to travel. the project i will be working on is the great room. this area is connected to an open kitchen. This area has big bay windows and natural lighting. They would like to use this room as entertainment, relaxing, and for work. They usually have gatherings, sometimes big casual parties but also intimate cocktail lounging parties. My job will be to bring light into the kitchen area where the natural light doesn't reach. this will be done by picking out a new back splash that feels lighter and is brighter. the back splash they have now is dark earth tones that give of a heavy look. I will also be repainting the condos kitchen and living area to color or two to be able to bring the living area and kitchen to a harmony. The furniture that they have in the area now is a dark wood island with a gray/ blue stone top, a velvet gray sectional that has a midcentury/modern look, his grandfathers black leather chairs a TV stand that is gray drift wood color. They would like to add a industrial long table, chandelier/ drop light for the long table, a liquor cabinet that goes with the chairs, a small coffee table. They would like to make this area a mix of industrial/ mid-century modern, with a eclectic touch. Notes to keep in mind the kitchen tops are cement color and the floor is cement with faded parking lot lines, also all the air vents are showing. December will be the deadline of the project with a budget of 5500 dollars.
