Prayer “One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When He finished, one of his disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray.” (Luke 11:1)

Prayer When I am discouraged “Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint .” (Isaiah 40:31)

Prayer When I am mistreated and left out “The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear?. . . . When evil men advance against me. . . . when enemies and my foes attack me. . . . though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.” (Psalm 27:1ff))
