2  2 Thessalonians 3:13 But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.  Revelation 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

10  You can’t force people to do right.  Matthew 22:1-3, 23:37  Acts 26:28-29  Romans 9:1-3  Actions and attitudes of brethren can be wrong.  Negativity, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7  Hypocrisy, Galatians 6:7  Apathy, Revelation 3:14-16, 2 Corinthians 9:2  Apostasy, Hebrews 3:12

11  Focus on our own attitude toward God.

12  Do we want to please God, or not? Is this our priority or not? 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2 Finally, then, brothers, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, just as you are doing, that you do so more and more. 2 For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. (ESV) Colossians 1:9-10 Mark 12:30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’

13  Focus on our own attitude toward God.  Nurture our faith.

14 Isaiah 40:31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Trust God and wait on Him. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Psalm 119:89-90

15  Focus on our own attitude toward God.  Nurture our faith.  Strengthen our hope.

16  Romans 5:1-8, hope and perseverance are linked.  Hebrews 6:18-19, hope is the anchor of the soul  Psalm 119:113-114 113 I hate the double-minded, But I love Your law. 114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word. cf. Romans 15:4

17  Focus on our own attitude toward God.  Nurture our faith.  Strengthen our hope.  Practice LOVE.

18  Matthew 22:39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’  Galatians 5:13-14  Do what is right to everyone.  Matthew 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,

19  Hebrews 12:1-3  Hebrews 13:5-6 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” 6 So we may boldly say: “ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”  Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
