Eight Foundational Courses in FY16 Harvard IT Academy Eight Foundational Courses in FY16 Leadership actively promotes & participates in the IT Academy, and model expected behaviors. Programs designed for university-wide participation. Learner focus, collaboration, openness and innovation reinforced in all programs. Staff members can relate programs to career maps and individual development plans. Staff recognition for progression in each T shaped competency track. Objectives Guiding Principles Key Performance Indicators A comprehensive professional development program designed to provide Harvard’s IT staff members with the knowledge, skills and abilities to excel as “T Shaped Professionals” to the schools/units they support. Vision Design a T Shaped Professional competency-based curriculum and course catalog that staff are motivated to participate in; in FY15. Reinforce formal training with coaching, & on-the-job (OJT) skills enhancement, starting in FY15. Integrate course catalog into an enterprise-wide learning management system (LMS) that supports individual development plans, course registration, and badging by FY17. 70% of staff ((1143) complete the common curriculum within the first 3 years of IT Academy rollout. IT Academy programs receive top ratings (above 4.5 on a 5.0 scale) for meaningful, relevant content that motivates staff participation. 50% of all managers are leading OJT skills enhancement to their staff within 2 years of Service Mindset rollout. 50% of course catalog curriculum is available to staff within the first year; 80% within first 2 years. Course catalog is integrated into a corporate staff LMS within 6 months of LMS implementation. Complete the Foundations Course(s). BEGIN IN FY16 Develop Additional courses, webinars, and other activities that staff can complete at their own pace. Complete additional courses in the track, and lead a team discussion on what is important about the competency as it relates to your work, and how to best apply those skills at Harvard. PILOT IN FY16 III. Apply Development activities that staff complete within their work teams to reinforce learning from classroom and online training. TBD - FY17 IV.
