Trilogy or Separate Science Science is not an option. Everyone studies Science at GCSE Each year, between 50-60 pupils are invited to take Separate sciences (formerly “Triple”) If invited, a student can accept the invitation or decline it Everyone else will sit the Trilogy route

What is the difference between “Trilogy” and “Separate” sciences? In Separate science, you get 3 GCSEs In Trilogy you get 2 Both routes study Biology, Chemistry and Physics

There is no longer any coursework The way practical skills are assessed is changing. Students won't be assessed by ISAs anymore Instead, they'll do a series of required practical activities.
