Grimes, Jack. Hook Up Culture. 30 March. 2004 Grimes, Jack. Hook Up Culture.30 March.2004. The main argument that is presented by Jack Grimes states that “Hook Up Cultures” are mainly found in college that are encountered by the college students on daily basis. The purpose of this article is to educated the college students that there is both a physical and emotional appeal when it comes to sexual attraction. Grimes support evidence was through his first person perspective of understanding of how the hook culture are like traditions in colleges among the college students who lives in an environment world of casual sexual appeal. The target audience that grimes appeals to is the college students.

Helen Fisher’s article “Web of love: Lust, Romance and attachment” argues that there is a difference between lust, romance and attachment and?. Her purpose is to educate couples about their sensations?? within their relationships. The audience she intends to target are couples or newly weds. She supports her claim by conducting research with the use of FMRI to scan the brains of Love- struck volunteers and individual interviews with couples.

Linda . J. Waite and Maggie Gallagher’s article entitled “Happy Ever After”, claims that married people are happier, healthier and better off financially. The purpose of the article is to argue that couples are emotionally stable, mentally healthier and are less likely to commit suicide. They use statistics from surveys which states that 40% of married people said that they were happier with their life in contrast to those who were single or cohabiting. The article aims towards adults in general. GOOD

In the article “What Women Want” by David Buss he speaks about the mating strategies of human and the conflicts between sexes, jealousy, status and the emotion of jealousy. Buss’s purpose of this article is to differentiate the physical and emotional difference between men and women. In this article he evocate about what is the expectation of a woman from a man. He explains that there are different cultures and countries that believe there are different strategies in finding a partner base on studies and reviews. This article mainly caught the attention of 30-40 year old because they were the main subject in the article.

In the paper “ Hook-Up Culture”, Jake Grime’s argues that the hook-up culture has taken over the lives of adolescents .Grimes states that hook up can be the cause of forgetting the meaning of love.” Sex “. The purpose of his argument is to convince young adolescents that hook up is not the meaning of love. Things can be done to change he hook-up culture, according to Grimes - Bring dating back, refuse sex, for women: realize the true commitment

In the article, ’What a woman wants’, the author states that women have different preferences in what they want in a man. The purpose of this article is to showcase and to educate on women’s preference of a man. The intended audience are adults, people who are dating and getting to know each other. Studies were also conducted, personality tests and self evaluations to further support his argument
