Proposal for use of MSNBC Program Content as part of a Visual Marketing and Communications Solution for Community Bank & Trust. Presented By: Ron Johnson, VP of Marketing Terry Duffie, Scenic Cable Networks

How Can Adtec Provide Value to CB&T Using Live News Feeds from MSNBC? To answer that question we must identify the objectives that CB&T might wish to achieve by establishing a Private Business Network designed to handle the playing and distribution of video content.

Distribute and exhibit Point-of Purchase Sales Messages that can Educate and Inform Customers and Motivate Employees Provide Employee Training Videos Establish a Channel for Corporate Communications so as to provide Live or Recorded Messages From Corporate Management Objectives of a Private Business Network To meet these objectives, Adtec can provide a proven solution that can overcome inherent operational challenges.

What is Adtec’s Solution? and announcements into the MSNBC news feed. Up to 18 minutes of site specific video content can be seen each hour. When people are standing in line to make a transaction with a teller, they can watch live news, and the only commercials that they will see between news segments are those produced specifically for CB&T by Scenic Cable Network. Adtec has partnered with Diversified Media Systems and MSNBC to provide a digital signage based visual marketing program that can allow authorized subscribers, such as CB&T, to insert site specific commercials

Providing live news from MSNBC as part of a visual marketing and education program provides the following benefits: Benefits of Service Customers will be educated and informed about new and existing bank products and services Perceived wait times in teller lines will be reduced Ambiance and atmosphere of bank will be enhanced Customers and employees will be kept informed of world events and financial information

Operational Challenges Adtec can meet the challenges shown above by implementing a Store Forward Internet Protocol (IP) Satellite solution utilizing our Edje Digital Video Player and Network Appliance. Automated playback of programs following a predetermined broadcast schedule using a reliable and low maintenance solution Provide a channel for live or recorded broadcasts originating from corporate offices Cost effective and reliable distribution of program content Playback verification

Adtec’s Store Forward solution allows video programming, broadcast schedule files, and other types of audio-visual content to be delivered by a variety of means so that it resides on one of our automated Digital Video Players prior to the time at which it is needed for broadcast. Adtec leverages Store Forward technology cost effectively through our Edge Digital Player and Network Appliance. How Does A Store Forward Solution From Adtec Work?

Store Forward Options There are three types of store forward options supported by the Edje: 1.Distribution of program content utilizing a disposable disk. Options include CD or DVD technology. 2.Distribution of program content via a Terrestrial Wide Area Network. Utilizing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) is common. 3.Distribution of content using a IP satellite feed. Adtec recommends the 3 rd option. Distribution via an IP satellite feed is the best solution for CB&T.

Store Forward Solution Implemented Via Satellite Distribution ROUTER HUB

Why Use an Edje in a Store Forward IP Satellite Distribution Architecture? It is a proven cost effective solution that avoids the problems associated with distribution of content via a DVD or terrestrial Wide Area Network (WAN): -No duplication or shipping costs for DVD -No delay in distribution of content due to burning and shipping DVD -No dependency on bank personnel for loading DVD or granting network access -No issues of getting around firewalls -No practical limitation on bandwidth -No loss of content due to router blocking issues -No costs associated with establishing a VPN

Recommended Solution Using Edje and Edje-L Equipment for Point-of-Purchase and Corporate Communications Edje-L MPEG 2 Player and Network Appliance With IP Satellite Receiver 80 Gig Drive holds 35 hours of programming encoded at 5 Mbps Program content may be received via a terrestrial Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN) usually set up as a Virtual Private Network (VPN) Provides a store-forward solution for the playback and verification of programs (with an optional back channel connection) Architecture of Adtec’s Solution

About the Edje & Edje-L MPEG Player & Network Appliance –High quality MPEG player with On Screen Display (OSD) –Supports Professional, and IP markets Professional Applications: –High quality playback –Composite and Y/C video –Unbalanced stereo audio –IP Applications –IP multicast send or receive with concurrent decoding Fixed hard drive Edje-L Network centric appliance Very low cost LAN, WAN and Satellite data distribution options

Equipment Cost Edje-L MPEG 2 Player & Network Appliance $ 1, per site Dish & Mounting Hardware$ per site Installation Cost Standard installation, Approximate Cost (installation of the dish and up to 120 feet of coaxial cable and 2 wall penetrations)$ per site Additional installation costs may apply Monthly Transmission Cost of MSNBC$ per site Note: If 100 or more sites are installed, the Edje-L unit price may be reduced to $1, per site. Estimated Annual Maintenance Cost between $ to $ per site. Costs shown do not include display mounting hardware or display devices. Cost of Implementation & Operation

Implementation & Operation Considerations Scenic Cable will need to have an internet connection with throughput of at least 1.5 Megabits per second (Mbps) in order to send video material to the uplink site. If a back channel connection is available in the bank, verification that files reached their destination can occur. In addition, verification files showing what actually plays in a particular bank may be accessed. Scenic Cable will have the task of making all broadcast schedules and encoding all video content into MPEG 2 files. Adtec can provide backup support if necessary. Adtec will install equipment and provide broadcast services for 30 days to Scenic Cable and a selected CB&T location for $ Additional locations may be installed for a fee.

Using the Edje in a Store Forward IP satellite architecture allows CB&T to get the most cost effective, flexible, and reliable solution for maximizing the value of a private business network.
