What’s Limo?  The discovery service LIMO is the central access point to the collections of the K.U.Leuven libraries.  You can now discover and get access to print and online resources such as books, articles, journals, databses, websites, digital media and other types of resources.

Advantages of Limo  You can find print and electronic publications via 1 search interface  in the catalogue of the K.U.Leuven libraries and other LIBISnet libraries  in LIRIAS= the research repository of K.U.Leuven  in databases and e-book collections that are available within the institution  in free e-journals collections

What’s Limo?

Getting started in Limo  In order to make maximum use of LIMO’s search potential you have to make sure that you are connected to the K.U.Leuven network.  Language: choose your language (English/Nederlands)  “You are on campus” when:  you’re working in a library or a PC room (KULeuvenNet)  when you are on KotNet  when you are connected to the university’s wireless network

Getting started in Limo  Use your Central K.U.Leuven credentials  Click on Central Login for Students and Staff

Performing searches in Limo Use following tabs:  All (incl. Articles): find printed and elektronic publications (incl. articles, books, databases, journals and more)  Books & more (find books, e-books, digitized materials, print and electronic journals, databases & more in KU Leuven libraries. Don’t use this tab to find e-journals!  E-journals: lookup e-journal titles. Don’t use this tab to find e-journals!  Databases: (no articles) lookup databases. Don’t use this tab to find e-journals!

Performing searches in Limo  Click on “KU Leuven catalogue” and select the collection you want to use:  KU Leuven catalogue  Campus Antwerpen  Campus 2Bergen  Campus Kortrijk  Campus Leuven

Performing searches in Limo  Simple search:  Type one or more words you are looking for and click the Search button  Any query is a cross-collection search which can potentially yield many hundreds or even thousands of relevant results  Advanced search:  Type search terms in maximum 3 separate search panels  Use filters to reduce the number of search results in advance
