Beijing is a charming （吸引 人的） city with a long history and lots of modern buildings.There are many famous heritage sites( 名胜古 迹） in Beijing, such as the Forbidden city,the Temple of Heaven, the Summer Palace and the Great Wall.

The Forbidden city was the palace in the Ming dynasty （朝代） and Qing dynasty.It is now the wonderful museum with many treasures that attract （吸引） many foreigners.

The Summer Palace is in the northwest of Beijing. It’s the best-kept royal garden( 保存完好 的皇家园林） in Beijing.The design gives prominence （突出） to the Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. The Marble Boat is positioned( 位于） at the west bank at the foot of Longevity Hill.

The Temple of heaven is in Dongcheng district （区）.It’s much bigger than the Forbidden City and smaller than the Summer Palace. The emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited the Temple of heaven to pray （祈祷） for a good harvest （收成）.
