The Forbidden City in Beijing is still regarded as the heart of the city. With its magnificent palace halls, courtyards and gardens, it represents the peak of Chinese architecture, and one of the world' s greatest historic sites. It was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties. Its construction began in 1460 an ended in1420. Altogether 24 emperors ruled here for 492 years. See the Map of the Forbidden City

“ That he who does not reach the Great Wall is no true man" is a famous Chinese saying. It' s true that when I arrived the Great Wall, I felt its spectacular. To reach the top of the Great Wall is very hard. Not only because the way is long, but because there is “ no top" as well. It' s true. When I walk for a long time, I found out that I had seen so many “ tops" of the Great Wall, but I never arrived one! How great the Great Wall is!
