Charlie Brown’s Thanksgiving Day Race! A piecewise story

Here is Charlie Brown, ready for his Thanksgiving Day 5K race! He knows he’s not the fastest runner, but he’s going to give it his best!

The first piece of the race Charlie started off strong(for his pace)! He was able to run 3K within 60 minutes!

The second piece of the race Uh-oh! Charlie Brown slipped on some wet leaves, and landed flat on his back! Ouch! He had to take 20 minutes to rest and get bandaged up.

The third piece of the race Charlie Brown got back into the race, but he had to slow down his pace since he got hurt. He was able to finish the last 2K of the race in 60 minutes.

In summary First Piece: 3K in 60 minutes Second Piece: rested for 20 minutes Third Piece: 2K in 60 minutes __________________________ Total Time for 5K: 140 minutes (2 hours and 20 minutes) Good try, Charlie Brown!
