River gypsies are an ethnic group in Bangladesh.

They are known as bedey to local people. The gypsies has their won lifestyl and culture.

They live in a nomadic life travelling from one place to another.

Gypsies roam across our rivers and water from May to December. The boats are used as their homes too.

Gypsies live in the tarpaulin tents during the dry season.

Women often idle away time by hair doing, picking lice in twos or threes sitting in a row.

Men gypsies catch snake and entertain people with snake charming for earning.

They also try to heal pains of old people often by sucking out blood.

In dry season, they live in land.
