To create a positive musical community. To create choirs with education the foundation combined with high standards of quality. To give back to the community and create conscientious citizens.

To help nurture and develop the individual. To provide opportunities for growth in leadership by connecting with people and being part of something special. To demonstrate the value of hard work.

. Practice 5 days a week, 20 minutes a day (minimum). Weekly rehearsals. Periodic performances.

Be a few minutes early to: Check in. Get your name tag. Use the restroom. Wash your hands.

Come prepared with: Folder (7-17). Water bottle. Well practiced. Good Attitude, ready to work. Snack for mentors (food not allowed in the choir room). Please NO NUTS!

Please report all absences PRIOR to rehearsals. Check the calendar regularly for performances, fall and spring break weeks. Occasionally practices will be held in alternate classrooms. Q&A’s with Miss Kim will not be possible during rehearsal days. Do not be late.

Practice attire will be modest. No short shorts. No bare mid-drifts. Clothing should be comfortable and cool (no sweaters). Dresses should have shorts underneath. Close toed shoes (kick test).

Timbre Tots choir studies basic and age appropriate melodies, rhythms, musicianship, performance etiquette, music theory, and technique, all while creating a positive and fun learning environment.

Timber Tots structure will be unique a based on their abilities and attention span on any given day. Lesson (this will be anything from rhythms, notation, vocabulary, technique). Vocal Warm Ups. Instrumentation (clapping - instruments) Musical Movement. Song learning (singing techniques are included here.

10-20 minutes music lesson/ occasional instrumentation minutes vocal technique lesson and warm up minutes vocal part /sectional review. Remaining time song rehearsal and chorography depending on the week.

5-10 minutes leadership training/mentoring 10 minutes music lesson/ occasional instrumentation minutes vocal technique lesson and warm up Parts (trouble spots only) Remaining time song rehearsal and chorography depending on the week.

Spend at least 1 hour per month in the Chorus or Timbre choirs working with Miss Kim and the other students. Required to be familiar with the music of The Chorus and Timbre Choirs.

Helps create a family community and not an elitists system. Gives opportunity for additional instruction. Offers opportunities for leadership. Teaches how to connect with people. Offers opportunities to solidify education. Can use for community service hours.

Responsible for the quality and standards of the choir with note and lyric memorization checking. Will learn anti bullying skills. Gives ownership of the choir to the students. Will be part of the safety of the students with buddy assistance, and release of students.

Always plan to be a few minutes early. Download the songs and make them easily accessible. Please encourage by listening in the car and at home. Have the kids fill out their time cards even if they didn’t practice, they need to be responsible.

Have a consistent bag or a place where their folder and pencil are kept. Remind your student to use the restroom and wash their hands before rehearsal. Make sure they have had a snack after school before practice. (Preferably without nuts.)

Read the whole . Check the calendar regularly. or text me questions, there will not be time between classes. Make sure they do their homework to include worksheets, watching videos, downloading and listening to their songs.

Sign your media release form. Be sure to register. Sign up for your audition time if needed. Report your absence PRIOR to rehearsal.

Master Classes Audition Clinics Summer Camp

Preparation: Choose a Broadway or Disney song, or a piece that shows off your voice and personality. Memorize your piece, the more comfortable you are with your song the smoother the audition. Have the accompaniment ready to play on any device or them to us. Learn “My Counrty Tis of Thee” to be sung without accompaniment. Expect your picture to be taken, your vocal range tested, and to be asked questions about yourself.
