5 Things You Can Do During the Year to Help Your Child
Read! Check the Friday Folder. You will be receiving your child’s first Friday folder on Aug. 15th at Curriculum Night. Be sure and come to learn about the Curriculum. Help them be independent! Instill good listening and following directions. Allow your child to do their own homework.

Lunch Room – Lisa Hasse Breakfast Reduced = $.30, Regular = $1.25, Guest = $2.00 Lunch Reduced = $.40, Regular = $2.25, Guest = $3.25 Ice Cream ($1.00) will be available one day per week. Snacks - Bring your own each day. Teachers will let you know the times they will have snacks.

9 Specials 1 Art, 1 Music, 2 P.E. every week
Media Center and Technology will rotate every Nine Weeks. Kinder will be with the Media Center this first nine weeks. Rotating Schedule (A-E) Always be prepared! Graded on Performance & Initiative (Art, Music, and P.E.) Guidance will be once a month.

10 Kindergarten Information
Open House (TREK) - Meet the teacher Curriculum Night - Teachers discuss expectations and the Kindergarten curriculum. Conferences - Fall and Spring and as needed Report cards - every 9 weeks

11 Kindergarten Assessment
GKIDS: Georgia Kindergarten Inventory of Diagnostic Skills Weekly assessments of report card skills sent home in Friday Folders Universal Screenings will be done by the Speech Department over the next few weeks.

13 Make the Big Day a Happy One!
Focus on the positive Discuss your child’s concerns Make sure your child knows that you will see him/her at the end of the day Establish a regular morning routine by the first week of school. (i.e. if your child is going to be a bus rider, let them ride the bus that first week). Allow your child to walk to their room on their own.

14 We ask you to please encourage your child to ride the bus from the first day of school.
