Why podcasting in teaching and learning? Podcasting is an engaging everyday technology Uses common mobile technologies which are readily accessible Based on free Web 2.0 technologies Being pushed in education, news and entertainment industry… There are very low cost barriers to entry Lots of interest from students, lots of teaching resources available… Discussion: Where have you heard of podcasting in day to day life?

Podcasting What it is, What it’s not… IS A method of delivering regularly updated audio content typically mp3 format. Involves publishing MP3 files to the internet with an RSS FEED… NOT Not just putting audio files onto the internet Does not necessarily involve iPods…
