Requirements for Night projects

Picture Book: You must first write a short story that has something to do with the Holocaust. You will need 6-8 illustrations to go along with your story. These pictures should not be random Holocaust pictures, but images that enhance the readers' understanding of your story. The picture should be no less than 10 pages long. -1 page Picture Book Cover -1 title page -1 summary section on the back page - At least 8 pages of story and images. Writing Requirements: -All sentences should be complete thoughts with proper capitalization and punctuation. -You must include at least 3 similes AND 3 metaphors -Careful attention should be paid to spelling and sentence structure.

Documentary Video/Powerpoint: You will be asked to gather information about specific events/people of the Holocaust. You must choose one of the following topics: - Holocaust Survivors - Resistance during the Holocaust - Nazi Germany - Concentration/Labor/Extermination Camp life After you have chosen a topic, you may use the internet, books, or films as sources for your research.

Video: 1. You MUST sight your sources properly. Ask me about MLA citations. 2. Your video must be between 5 and 7 minutes long. The format of the video is up to you. 3. You must write a 1 ½ page summary of information on your topic. Spelling and punctuation will all be counted. Power Point: -15 slides, 10 images are the minimum. The presentation should last between 5-7 minutes. -You may have music added, but the music should be appropriate for your topic. -You must write a 1 ½ page summary of information on your topic.
