Presentation transcript:

Define Culture? Define sex/sexuality? Remember that there are many ways to define these things. What is your definition?

How old were you when you first discovered what sex was? What sort of things came to your mind?

Are you open and comfortable about talking about sexuality/relationships? Why or why not?

How does your perspective on sexuality match or differ from members of your family?

How does your perspective on sexuality match or differ from your friends?

How does your perspective on sexuality match or differ from your partner?

How does religion/spirituality influence your views on sexuality and decisions concerning relationship development?

What role does the media play on influencing people’s beliefs about intimacy and romance? Does this ever conflict or agree with your culture and beliefs?

Do you assign “roles” for you and your partner, during sex and in your relationship? If you do, why? Do you think that these roles people assign are influenced by cultural background?

For those who are willing to share, what was your first sexual experience like? Can you describe it as being good or bad, and why? Do you think that perceptions about losing virginity are ever influenced by cultural backgrounds?

What is your culture’s attitude toward someone who has sex frequently? What about someone who does not have sex? Why might these attitudes exist? Do you agree?

What would be an ideal sexual relationship? Does your culture’s definition of an ideal sexual relationship match your personal definition?
