Red nose day

What is Red Nose Day? Red Nose Day is a UK-wide fundraising event organized by Comic Relief every two years. On Red Nose Day everyone is encouraged to put their inhibition aside, put on a red nose and do something funny for money, including celebrities. It culminates in a night of cutting edge comedy and moving documentary on BBC One, wile accumulating money given by the viewers. Red Nose Day unites the entire nation in trying to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people across Africa and the UK people who are facing terrible injustice or living in desperate poverty.

When is it celebrated ? It was created on febrary1988. Now it's celebrated the second or the third Friday of March. Red Nose Day is celebrated every two years.

It's celebrated in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Russia and Finland. Where?

Last year Red nose day raised 35 million pounds for comic relief. People sang songs and told jokes, it rose money and even the soap East Enders on BBC was comic that day. The money raised goes to peoples in Africa in helps to buy food and medicines and a part of the money also goes to people who need help in the UK. why?

How is it celebrated ? It's celebrated with people wearing funny costumes, accessories, makeup, balloons to amuse people whom will give money for the foundation: comic relief. But There are many different ways to take part of Red Nose Day... If you hold a bake sale or get sponsored to dye your hair red - make sure you do something funny for money, to have good laugh and make lots of money !

Specific details ? Every children and teachers wear a red nose and white and red cloths, to go to school and also at school durring the lessons. That day the children leave the school earlier than the other days of the years.
