PEDAGOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND METHODICAL TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM 36 ECST PPM teacher education program is designed for subject teachers in lower and upper secondary schools who did not achieve 36 ECTS from pedagogical, psychological and methodical subjects

PEDAGOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL AND METHODICAL TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAM 36 ECST The program was developed in accordance with the appropriate legislation: the provisions of the Law on Higher Education (Official Gazette of RS, No. 76/05), Statute of the University of Kragujevac and the Statute of the Faculty of Education in Jagodina, University of Kragujevac, provision of the Law on the Foundations of education (Official Gazette of RS, No. 52/11 72/09 i), Standards of continuous professional development of teaching positions, teachers and educationists (Official Gazette of RS, No. 13/12 and 31/12) and Standards of competence for the teaching profession and professional development

ORGANIZATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROGRAM Contact classes and consultations implemented according to the schedule Includes a list of accredited elective courses which carry a certain number of ECTS credits. The student selects those subjects from a group of pedagogical, psychological and methodological fields, prior to previous education, personal preferences, needs and interests, taking into account to achieve the final sum - a minimum of 30 credits. 6 ECTS methodical (professional) practice from previous placement or on the basis of a certificate of work experience in school longer than a month is recognized

PURPOSE Ensuring the quality of teacher education: - results from modern scientific knowledge about the teaching profession; - take into account the current context of teacher education in Serbia and the needs arising from it ; - be in line with contemporary teacher education programs and international context and demands placed upon teacher education placed in the relevant international documents.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM Wider objectives: -Developing of the competencies necessary for independent work of subject teachers. -acquisition and development of knowledge, skills and abilities relevant to the job subject teachers through a mandatory part of the pedagogical-psychological and educational methods and practices in the school, as well as a higher level of competence, depending on the selected object.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAM : Distinguishing professional identity of teachers, understanding the role of teachers in the school and developing readiness to develop the necessary competencies; Understanding the basic pedagogical, psychological and methodological knowledge and training for their critical thinking in the context of educational practice; Training for the planning of educational activities which are taken into account: individual and group characteristics of students, the specifics of the subject and curriculum features of the context of the school and the wider social environment, the general objectives of modern education and the values ​​ of modern civilization; Training to adequately respond to the reactions of students and changes in the context of the realization of educational activities;

Development of sensitivity to identify problems in the educational work, their understanding and devising ways to deal with them; Training in the use of modern technology as a form of support for school learning; Training for research and evaluation of educational activities and the development of readiness for critical reflection, self-evaluation and improvement of their own work and the work of the school; Training for constructive communication, collaborative work and mutual support in relation to students, parents, colleagues and the local community; Developing a professional identity of teachers as a profession that involves continuous development.

TEACHER COMPETENCE ON COMPLETION OF THE PROGRAM  Understanding the complexity of the teaching profession: a knowledge of the role of the teacher in the classroom and outside of it, and understanding the factors that affect their exercise;  Understanding the basic features of the development of school- age children (cognitive, social and affective), the complexity of the factors that shape the development and the ways in which education and teachers can contribute to the development of students;  Understanding the nature and relations of learning and teaching and assessment in the context;  Understanding the problems of education in the light of different conceptions of education and critical appraisal of the meanings of education theory to practice;

 Planning and implementation of educational activities starting from the understanding of contemporary models of teaching and education: creating the conditions for the integral development of the student, the use of teaching methods and strategies that are consistent with a variety of objectives and content of education, development of motivation and providing active learning and cooperation, respecting individual and cultural differences and characteristics of the context;  Monitoring of teaching and assessing students' progress using different types and techniques of evaluation, as a function of the current process of learning, empowering subject position of students in teaching and developing curricula;  The use of modern scientific knowledge and the methodology of the subject area as a function of learning and development of students:  Identify and investigate problems in the educational-correctional practices and actively accessing their resolution;

 Collaborative work in the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities, with a very relevant stakeholders of the educational process (colleagues, students, parents, local community);  Different modes of teacher professional development and career opportunities and the existence of an active and responsible attitude to their own development and to the development of the school.
