HELLO! TODAY YOU NEED: YOUR PLANNER BOTH COMP. BOOKS BRIGHT GREEN READING LOG A BOOK TO READ/ANNOTATE

READING REFLECTION #15 Go to the next available page in your READING comp. book. Title it Reading Reflection #15. Add it to your table of contents.

READING REFLECTION #15 Look through your comp book. Notice goals you’ve made. Which goals have you achieved? How many books have you read? What are you proud of? How have you changed as a reader? Which goals are still evading you? What reading improvements would you like to make before the end of 6 th grade? Write a reflection about your progress. (Five sentence minimum.) When you are finished, tape your reading log on the left hand side of the page.

THIS IS AN APPROPRIATE REFLECTION When I look through my comp. book, I see many changes in my reading. I annotate much more than I ever have. Plus, I read way more books than I did last year. I am proud that I’ve made many of my goals. I still need to work on reading every day. I noticed on several of my reading logs that I only read three or fours days per week so I will still try to accomplish that goal more consistently. By the end of the school year I want to be reading/annotating more out of habit than task. I think that will help me get ready for 7 th grade. Notice the topic sentences. Notice the supporting sentences.

THIS IS NOT AN APPROPRIATE REFLECTION More annotating. More books. Making a lot of goals. Reading/annotating every day. Reading out of habit.
