 It is an independent film production company.  It is based in Sheffield and London in the United Kingdom.  There is an associated company called Warp Films Australia based in Melbourne, Australia.  Founders are Rob Mitchell and Steve Beckett.  WARP FILMS MADE FOUR LIONS. LIONS.

 It is an American film distribution company.  It is based in Century City, Los Angeles, United States.  Owners of the company are News Corporation (1994 – 2013) and 21 st Century Fox (2013 – Present).  FOX SEARCHLIGHT MADE SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE.

 Distribution is marketing and promoting the film.  The marketing and distribution for a film like Four Lions is different to a film like Slumdog Millionaire because they have different film production companies.  Warp Films made Four Lions and it has a lower budget than Fox Searchlight. This means that they will have less money to promote the film and make it. Also, Fox Searchlight is more well known and they are known as a film distribution company. Due to it being more well known, more people will easily hear about it and be interested if a new film is being promoted by Fox Searchlight.

 Fox Searchlight had produced more films then Warp Films. Their films were promoted worldwide which is why they were more of a success. Four Lions was only promoted to UK audiences.  The marketing and distribution of Slumdog Millionaire had different languages which can be shown in a number of different countries. For example, their trailers.
