What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why??

2. Different types
The two different types are independent and mainstream films. It’s all about the budget- a mainstream film will have a mid - high budget and this will buy them better, more well known actors and better CGI. On the other hand- independent films conation a low budget and usually have cheaper upcoming actors. These attract a niche audience.

3. Our Film
Our film is an independent, low budget film. We have chosen Film4 as our distribution company because in the past they have worked on other small UK thrillers. Such as Safe House which is similar to our film because of an urban city scape, violence, crime and kidnapping. This became very popular so have chosen Film4.

4. Release
Our film will have a small opening at the Duke of York Cinema. A local cinema that often shows new upcoming independent films. We will also show it at local film festivals. Kidulthood started off a small film and premiered at film festival, now with millions of pounds grossing, this is where we will start and we are predicting a £50,000 profit on the opening weekend.
