SO, YOU WANT TO WORK? CLIFF NOTES FOR STARTING OUT

WHAT DO YOU NEED? If under 18, you need working papers! Get them at your school! You will need parent’s permission. You will need a physical.

No, you cannot work 100 hours! School comes first! If you are between 16 & 17, you can work up to 4 hours a day during the school week. You can work up to 8 hours on Fri, Sat, Sun The max is 28 hours per week!

Does a CO-OP interest you? Keep those grades up! You get paid! You get school credit! You can work up to 6 hours a day but no more than 28 hours a week.

Rotten Ideas You have NO protection if you work off the books!!! Child Labor Laws Protect You! Be safe – Work Legal!
