Foundation Skills Training Package

Definition Foundation skills:  Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) – learning, reading, writing, oral communication and numeracy  Employability Skills  Digital literacy Across a continuum of levels.

Purpose Foundation skills development to support vocational achievement and pathways.

FSTP contents  Bank of units  Skill Set/s  Certificate I and II qualifications

Draft material Units  include core skills, some employability skills and digital literacy  across a range of skill levels (ACSF)  not aligned to AQF  designed for vocational contextualisation  use streamlined TP model.

Draft material (cont) Skill Sets  Preparation for supervisor role  Preparation for higher level learning.
