Working Group Nr : 2 Session 3 Reconcile National Data with International Estimates Recommendations on How to Reconcile National and International Data Indicators 2.1 and 2.3 -Encourage countries to discuss with UN Population Division the population estimates - UN Population Division should revise data every time country has new data (as opposed to every two years) - Improve reliability of data on the age of children enrolled - Extend coverage of enrolment data to private schools - Collect data on enrolment through /parents’ associations to get information about children who receive education at home or in schools which are not registered. - All new data should be sent to Unesco as soon as available

Working Group Nr : 2 Session 3 Reconcile National Data with International Estimates Recommendations on How to Reconcile National and International Data Indicators The World Bank should put a system in place to gather data from countries and to compile indicators - The World Bank should share with countries the data used as well as the methodologies underlying the calculation of the indicator Setting a focal point in each country for data and information exchange with the World Bank -All new data should be sent to the World Bank as soon as available

Working Group Nr : 2 Session 3 Reconcile National Data with International Estimates Recommendations on How to Reconcile National and International Data Indicators Countries should inform Unicef of forthcoming surveys - Capacity building on the direct and indirect methods is needed - Countries should consult the Unicef database and report any missing or outdated data - To establish a resource person in each country to populate the Unicef database -All new data should be sent to Unicef as soon as available
