A prayer that invokes God’s care on some person, place, thing or undertaking.

What is a blessing?

A prayer in which we ask God for His help or forgiveness, or for some good, whether for ourselves or for others.

What is a petition?

A form of prayer whereby we acknowledge God and his goodness and glorify Him for who He is.

What is praise?

A prayer of petition for the sake of others.

What is an intercession?

A prayer that acknowledges that God is God--Creator, Savior, Sanctifier, Lord and Master of all creation, the source of all blessings, and worthy of our total love and devotion.

What is adoration?

He is the perfect model of prayer.

Who is Jesus?

An essential source for defining prayer and reporting on how people pray.
