Blessing and Adoration – bless and praise God who is the source of all blessings B. Petition – asking God to send you whatever satisfies your true needs C. Intercession – asking God to help someone else D. Thanksgiving – gratitude to God who the source of all good E. Praise – to show your awareness and appreciation of God’s goodness F. Contrition – is a request for forgiveness

6 II. Three Different Ways to Pray A. Vocal Prayer – use words, traditional prayers eg. Our Father, Hail Mary B. Meditation – prayer of the mind, quiet, thinking over the words of scripture or an event in like of Jesus C. Contemplation – prayer of the heart, raising your mind and heart to God, spending time in the present of the Blessed Sacrament
