Pre - Recruitment  Paper Materials  Posters – events list and info.  Flyers – events list  Pamphlets – info.  Electronic Materials  Table Tents - events  TV ads - events  Social Events  Time to represent – go to non recruitment events and wear letters

During Recruitment  What’s on the Agenda  Proper attire  Showing up to events  Greeting PNMs  The Do’s and Don’ts  Remember your story  Outside of Events

Proper Attire  What is Proper Attire:  Letters  Business Casual  Business professional

Showing up to Events  Be on time  This time will include set up, and most likely be prior to the events actual start time.  Be in Proper Dress  Check in with VP or Chair of Recruitment  Stay for entire event unless otherwise noted.

Greeting PNMs  Name and handshake.  Get to know them:  Reason for coming out?  Major?  Where they live?  Introduce them to other brothers.  OVERALL – BE FRIENDLY

Stay Classy  Do’s:  Keep conversations appropriate and relevant.  Avoid cursing, talking about parties, etc.  Do:  Have fun  Share personal stories

Capitalize on Truth Stereotypical  All about the parties.  Secretive  Utilize hazing Who We Are  All about Brotherhood and Service  Transparent  Does not utilize hazing  Look for men of merit

Your Story  One of the most powerful aspects of Recruitment.  Allows PNM to understand DU’s impact on your life.  Allows PNM new insight into what Fraternity life is all about!

Outside of Events  Talk to PNMs outside of Recruitment Events.  Emphasize values of DU always, but ESPECIALLY DURING RECRUITMENT.  Look out for possible PNMs.  Wear Letters  65 percent of the population is visual learners.  Brain processes visual information 60,000x faster than text.  90 percent of information that comes to the brain is visual.
