Bucketing: Getting Ready to Write Name: ________________________ Bucketing: Getting Ready to Write Directions: Look back over the documents and organize them into your final buckets. First label on the line what your major topic or theme will be for your bucket, then place in the bucket which documents could help you support your topic/theme. Remember these buckets will be you BODY paragraphs of your essay. Documents you could use as evidence: Main idea/ topic/theme: Thesis Development and Road Map On the chickenfoot below, write your thesis (road map). Your thesis is always an opinion that answers the document based question (How did the Nile Shape Ancient Egypt) Your thesis is created using the labels (theme/topic) of your buckets, and lists the topics you will examine in order to prove your thesis.
