Unit 5 Project Part 1:  Create informative pamphlet for patients  Provide academic research, cited in APA  Avoid “research paper” format  Appeal to identified audience  Graphics are optional, be sure to cite/label

Unit 5 Project Audience Discussion  What are some characteristics to consider when designing a pamphlet for patients?  How can you appeal to these characteristics?  What type of graphics should be used? What should be avoided? Why?  What characteristics of research are appropriate for this type of document?

Unit 5 Suggested Writing Process  Read document objective (in project requirements)  Identify characteristics of audience  Obtain and review research  Outline required information for document, brainstorm  Find relevant graphics  Write, design, revise document  Develop references page

Unit 5 Project Part 2:  Reflect on writing process  Describe challenges and successes  Discuss target audience, or how the document was designed for audience Put Part 1 & 2 in a single Word document Submit via Dropbox
