Spring 2016 Important Registration Information As you prepare to register, please be aware of this special course sections: A special section of HTM 213 “Introduction to Food and Beverage Management” will be offered at the GVSU Detroit Campus (nearby Comerica Park / Ford Field). Includes immersion in Detroit food and beverage locations.

Volunteers Needed! Hudsonville Spring Showcase Saturday, April 16 | 8am-2pm Hudsonville High School Volunteers will be able to network with the businesses and observe different components of a tradeshow. Duties will be passing out bags, greeting guests at the door and at a booth, and keeping an eye on the vendor hospitality suite. Fall 2016 Important Registration Information As you prepare to register, please be aware of these special course sections: A special section of HTM 350 “Banquet and Catering Management” (Tuesday evenings) will be taught by new HTM adjunct, Mr. Dave Hoogterp. Some sessions will meet at Above and Beyond Catering (GR). Includes planning, execution and evaluation of various off-site catered events. This course is particularly targeted to “food and beverage” and “meeting and event” emphases. An inaugural section of HTM 380 “The JW Marriott Hospitality Experience” (Monday afternoons) will be taught at the downtown JW Marriott by hotel managers / HTM adjuncts Nick Remes and Brian Behler. Winter 2017 Important Registration Information As you prepare to register, please be aware of these special course sections: The inaugural section of HTM 237 “Fundamentals of Recreation and Leisure Programming” (required course in the Recreation and Leisure Emphasis) will be taught by Professor Lorie Tuma. – This course will be initially offered only in the Winter Semester, so plan accordingly. Long time HTM instructor Chris Longstreet will be offering HTM 480 “Hospitality Management in Las Vegas”. This semester long course includes a class trip to Las Vegas (for a behind the scenes experience) during Spring Break.
