Creating Animated Debates and Stories The use of Plotagon

What is Plotagon? A free computer program / iPad app that allows the user to create animated cartoons. Plotagon is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac and PCs. The app can be downloaded from the app store or plotagon.com/download. There is also a paid “for school” service, offering a more collaborative experience.

Positives of Plotagon The scripts are original creation, so any topic is available - and so are any words. The characters are easy to create. It is routinely updated and new options are always available. The closed captioning feature shows the script so that kids can follow along with specific vocabulary. You can record your own voice instead of using the prerecorded robot voice.

Plotagon Drawbacks There are a limited number of customization options for the characters. There are a limited number of scenes and options for the characters and movements. Only two characters may appear in a scene at one time. Some students may take advantage of the freedom offered in plotagon. Information is saved locally so you cannot continue to work on a separate device.
