Similac Expert Care Neosure NEW LOOK beginning April 2016 “Expert Care” is being removed from the product name Voucher message updated to include an “OR” statement during the transition period No change to the formulation, reconstituted ounces, price or UPC Similac Expert Care Diarrhea also having a name change – State Ordered Only (no active vouchers)

New Voucher Message (Effective March 7, 2016) Similac Expert Care Neosure This voucher messaging is temporary for use through the transition period. Please reference Action Memo for a listing of all affected food packages and voucher codes.

New Voucher Message (Effective May 16, 2016) Similac (Expert Care) Alimentum This voucher messaging is temporary for use through the transition period. For your reference, a listing of all affected food packages and voucher codes will be provided in an upcoming Action Memo.

THIS MAY NOT BE AN EASY TRANSITION WARNING:

Voucher messages will be updated to include “OR” statement during the transition period Full month’s issuance will be provided on a single voucher – Cannot split issuance due to max allowance conflict – Inability to predict availability from retailer to retailer Will not be required to prorate issuance for late pick-ups during this transition period Single can voucher codes for either product will be available for food package changes – Issue based on retailer transition schedule and participant’s preferred shopping location Alimentum Food Package Transition

The SWO will monitor product availability to determine when to discontinue use of the transition vouchers that include the “OR” statements When the transition vouchers are discontinued, the food packages will be updated with new voucher codes that only contain the new product names and container sizes Similac Expert Care Transition (Neosure and Alimentum)

Gerber® Graduates® Beginning April 2016 Gerber® Graduates® Gentle, Gerber® Graduates® Soothe and Gerber® Graduates® Soy formulas are being discontinued by the manufacturer Vouchers will be discontinued effective May 16, 2016 Participants issued vouchers prior to May 16 th will be able to redeem vouchers as long as there is product still available

Gerber® Graduates® Discontinuation Manufacturer Recommendations – Infants 9-12 months: Transition to the comparable Stage 1 formula – Toddlers months: No current transition recommendations – refer to provider If no alternative product is identified by the medical provider, the participant will be transitioned to a comparable standard milk or milk alternative food package Districts should work to identify participants currently receiving a Gerber® Graduates ® food package and provide notice of the coming discontinuation so that they may contact their provider for a transition plan

New Gerber Good Start Formulas Gerber Good Start Gentle, Soothe, and Soy Stage 2 and Gerber Good Start Soy Stage 3 are not WIC approved The Georgia WIC Formula Guide will be updated in April 2016 and can be used as a resource to reinforce this information NOT WIC APPROVED 6-12 months 9-24 months
