LORD OF THE FLIES

Savages or Not Roger, Ralph, Piggy, Jack, Simon, SamNEric Savage Line

Ralph and Jack’s Tribes Jack is a child Can not get his way so he simply refuses to “play” The boys have tribes on other ends of the island Different ideology, different areas

Devolving into Savages The boys show characteristics of savagery behavior Their song and dance The sacrifice The killing of the pig Whose death might this foreshadow later? This is all thought of as fun and games to them though If you pay attention to their movement at the crack of thunder you will see they are nothing but children still

The characters Piggy is the adult of the island Constantly keeps Ralph and the others on track He is beginning to be more respected now Ralph is starting to fear his own decent into savagery He must be reminded by Piggy of what’s important Simon is going mad His interaction with the “Lord of the Flies” Jack has gone mad He has become the manifestation of evil Creates the “Lord of the Flies”
