4. Hunting – how does it develop?
Delight at the first successful hunt
Then the cruelty when Robert pretends to be the pig & ‘squealed in mock terror, then in real pain’ – forerunner to Simon’s death
Brutality of the sow’s death – boys ‘wedded to her in lust’
