Chelmsford In The Blitz! Why Did The Germans Invade Chelmsford?

Do you know why Chelmsford was involved in WW2? During World War Two London was hit 2,000,000 times by the German bombs. They called this the Biltz.

Why was Chelmsford bombed? The Germans targeted Marconi and Hoffman as they played a major role in WW2.

What effect did the German Luftwaffe have on Chelmsford? The German bombs made 1000s homeless and 50 people were killed.

Great Baddow radio tower The radio tower was the last radar tower remaining in WW2.

Saracens Head Hotel This was a place for the American leaders to relax and stay. This was because the Americans helped Britain against Hitler throughout WW2.

The end of the Blitz Thanks for listening to my power point.
