“The character of a nurse is just as important as the knowledge he/she possesses”. Carolyn Jarvis Nurses Helping Nurses HelpSupportAdviceGuidanceAssistanceMentoring

Mission Statement Our purpose is to provide support and resources to nurses in need, enabling them to physically, mentally, and emotionally function to the best of their ability.

Philosophy We believe that nurses need the same support and care we provide our patients. Nursing is a career that can be mentally, physically, and emotionally taxing. We strive to provide nurses with the best resources to cope with grief, loss, and stress. To do so, we encourage positive self- care behaviors and healthy lifestyles, all while providing support and guidance to be your best. We strive to promote healthy behaviors to nurses in body, mind, and spirit.

Goals Partner with local health care organizations to enhance services offered to nurses Provide nurses with information and resources to partake in healthy behaviors. Ensure nurses have access to diet, sleep, stress, and coping recommendations for healthy living. Implement grief and loss support groups for nurses.

Objectives To enroll 10 health care facilities into our program within the first six months. To have a 10% increase of care facilities who sign up for our program each month for 12 months. To enroll 10 nurses each month in grief and loss support groups over the first 6 months. To enroll 10 nurses each month in stress management support groups over the first 6 months. To have 80% completion rate of all programs over the first 6 months. To establish a monthly newsletter as a form of communication and promotion of services within the first 3 months.
