Twanna Bradford The Big Interview Multi media Interview EDU 650 December 4,2015 Dr. La Touche

Introduction Hello and thank you for allowing me to be one of the candidates for the lead teacher position. my name is Twanna Bradford and I want to make a difference in your school. By doing this, I want to give you a little back round about my philosophy of education.

Philosophy of Education My philosophy of education is to challenge students thinking skills in a way that is creative and fun for them to learn so that they can succeed in life. In order me for to do this and be an effective teacher, I want to build a positive and trusting relationship with them so that they will learn from me as well as I will learn from them.

Successful management plan I have great classroom management skills. I will create a classroom environment where students are safe and respected. Students need to understand that we need rules to be safe and respected. We will work together to develop and set ground rules for our classroom environment. When students leave my class they will be well prepared for the next grade level.

My school model : Flipped Classroom Model Most schools used the traditional model where students are lectured all day and take notes. I will develop a flipped model where students are able to learn at their own pace. I will be accessible to work with students in small groups or one-on-one if needed. I want to be a resource and support to students if they need it.

Lesson Planning & Design The role that students would play in the process of lesson planning is based on their own individual needs and by observing the students strengths, emerging skills and areas of need or improvement. I plan to develop clear learning objectives for students as well as implementing the Common Core Standards In the lesson planning.

Assessment matters When it comes to assessments I will work the child as well as collaborating with other colleagues to help the child achieve the necessary goals that they will need to be successful in life; by working with them at their own pace. Based on the child’s assessments scores parents will be encourage to work on goals at home with the child.

Professional Learning Community Building a professional learning community is very important to me as a teacher. I want people to enter into my classroom where it well managed and children are excited about learning in their own creative way. My classroom will be a community of people working together in a small group setting that’s full love and respect.

Thank you Thank you for giving me the opportunity and chance to be considered as a candidate for the lead teacher position. If choose to be part of your community I know I can and will make a difference in your school as well as in the children.
