Health Problem Chlamydia, caused by the infection Chlamydia trachomatis, is the most commonly reported sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the United States (CDC, 2013). Adolescents years old and young adults years old, the two age groups where chlamydia infection is highest with 1,300 and 2,000 per 100,000 youth respectively (MDPH, 2012).

Health Behaviors to be Changed and Performance Objectives 1) Correct and consistent condom use. 2) Increase college students’ utilization of annual screenings at local health services. 3) Colleges to promote their existing health services such as expanding hours and hiring well-trained staff to meet student needs 4) Develop communication skills to negotiate condom use.

Communications Plan PSA contest launched first Press Event held to announce winner of PSA contest and launch T.O.U.C.H. Press Release to announce launch of T.O.U.C.H. Main objective is to promote the T.O.U.C.H. app. ●Using the app will increase students’ awareness of how they can take control of their sexual health through prevention and treatment → improve quality of life. After downloading the app, user is able to engage in: Prevention: Use the app to obtain free condoms and watch condom influence strategy videos, thus increasing use of condoms, wearing them consistently. Treatment: Use the app to locate nearest health centers to utilize sexual health services (testing, counseling).
