2 www.publichealth.columbus.gov STIs in the US Over 1.7 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis (primary and secondary) were reported to the CDC in 2012. Chlamydia 2012: 456.7 per 100,000 0.7% increase from 2011 Gonorrhea 2012: 107.5 per 100,000 4.1% increase from 2011 Syphilis 2012: 5.0 per 100,000 11.1% increase from 2011

Age African Americans had 6.5 times higher chlamydia reported rates than Whites. Race Women had 2.0 times higher reported chlamydia rates of Men. Sex In 2013, there were 8,110 cases reported (694.7 per 100,000).
