Background The movie we are going to talk about is based on a true story. His name is Benjamin Mee, a British writer, who rescued a failing zoo while coming to terms with life as a widower and single father. In the real world, running a zoo isn’t a good deal for Benjamin because he has several things to face. First, he had to persuade his family, but that wasn’t a big deal for him. Secondly, The zoo was dangerously rundown. Mee was faced with myriad expensive tasks just to keep it afloat – including dealing with a rat infestation around £9,000 – not to mention finding the money to feed the animals, something that the six members of unpaid staff he inherited had been doing out of their own pockets. Benjamin said “But when the jaguar escaped it was the first time I realized there were lives at stake.” Things that made Benjamin insist his dream to the end was his wife death of cancer, and this also became the energy to push him fulfill their dream—running a zoo. Nowadays Benjamin’s legendary trail and his career of life was adapted into Hollywood movies.

Plot & Summary Benjamin has lost his wife. In a bid to start his life over, he purchases a large house that has a zoo. This is welcome news for his daughter, but his son is not happy about it. The zoo is need of renovation and Benjamin sets about the work with the head keeper, Kelly, and the rest of the zoo staff. But, the zoo soon runs into financial trouble. The staff must get the zoo back to its former glory, pass a zoo inspection, and get it back open to the public.

Theme The theme of the film focus on the way we face challenge when we are in dilemma.Someone might choose to surrender. However, the main character of the film makes another choice -- fight and change. Though he first bumps into difficulties, he eventually achieves the goal he set.
