“The Day God Made the Sun Stand Still” Joshua 10

(12) On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presences of Israel: ‘O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.

(13) So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies’, as it is written in the book of Jasha. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

(14) There has never been a day like it before or since, a day when the Lord listened to a man. Surely the Lord was fighting for Israel.

Verbal Plenary Inspiration Verbal – Every Word of Scripture is given by God Plenary – Everything given to us in the Scripture is Authoritative Inspiration – Every Word is directly Inspired by God to Man

If the bible is not divinely authoritative, then it does not need to be preached. But, if the Bible is divinely authoritative, then it must be preached.

The Bible must be accepted as a whole. We are not free to choose the parts that are divine to us. We do not make the Bible conform to our beliefs; we conform to the beliefs of the Bible.
