Matthew 4:1-4. [1] Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. [2] After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. [3] The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” [4] Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”

‘Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”

Deuteronomy 8:1-3. [1] Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land that the Lord promised on oath to your forefathers. [2] Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. [3] He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.

Genesis 2:16-17 [16] And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; [17] but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die.”

2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:15...and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 13:52Matthew 13:52. He said to them, “Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Psalm 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word

Proverbs 6:21-23 [21] Bind them upon your heart forever; fasten them around your neck.[22] When you walk, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; when you awake, they will speak to you.[23] For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light, and the corrections of discipline are the way to life,

Psalm 1:1-3. [1] Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.[2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.[3] He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Joshua 1:8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Deuteronomy 6:7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. =Day and night.

Genesis 24:62-65: [62] Now Isaac had come from Beer Lahai Roi, for he was living in the Negev. [63] He went out to the field one evening to meditate, and as he looked up, he saw camels approaching. [64] Rebekah also looked up and saw Isaac. She got down from her camel [65] and asked the servant, “Who is that man in the field coming to meet us?” “He is my master,” the servant answered. So she took her veil and covered herself.

Matthew 24:35. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.”

Matthew 14:49. “Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts...” Jesus taught daily We should listen daily
