P1 - Software licenses

Different types of license and software Single-user license Multi-user license Proprietary software Freeware Shareware

Description of the software licenses single-user license can be used in windows or Microsoft office it can be installed in one computer only but if you decide that you want to install the licence to another computer you firstly need to uninstall it from the first computer which is generously cheaper than buying and installing another single-user license which means you will save a lot of money. multi-user license can be more expensive than single users licence purely because it is multiple users. A multi-user license has an individual key for several users based on the number of purchased licenses. proprietary software is software that is owned by an independent person or a group usually the one that developed it. There's always major restrictions on its use, and its source code is almost always kept secret. Freeware is created by an author and put into the public domain; there are no copyright restrictions. It can be copied and distributed freely. Shareware is copyrighted software that the developer encourages you to copy and distribute but this permission is explicitly stated in the documentation and the developer usually requests a registration fee if you like the software and plan to use it also Registering the software usually ensures that program and documentation updates are sent to you.
