T HERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CINQUAIN POEMS The traditional version is the one I am doing witch is based on syllable counts. Another way is doing line 1 1 word line 2 2 words and so on and so forth but the last line witch is the 5 th line has 1 word

A DIFFERENT KIND OF POEM The other last way is the modern way witch uses line 1 - one word (noun) a title or name of the subject line 2 - two words (adjectives) describing the title line 3 - three words (verbs) describing an action related to the title line 4 - four words describing a feeling about the titlem, a complete sentence line 5 - one word referring back to the title of the poem

M Y REASON The reason I choose to do syllable count is because I checked a total of five sites and 3 out of the 5 said the way to do Cinquain poems is to do the syllable count. The other ones said to do the modern version witch I just explained.

R ULES FOR A C INQUAIN POEM Line 1- 2 syllables Line 2- 4 syllables Line 3- 6 syllables Line 4- 8 syllables Line 5- 2 syllables
