Digital TV sets standards for video and audio signals from a transmitter to a TV receiver, using digital modulation.

Digital television allows to transmit on one frequency up to 8 channels using MPEG- 2 encoding, allowing the viewer to get a much larger number of channels.

Digital Video Broadcasting developed for the transmission of television programs in a compressed MPEG- 2, the real-time communication channels traditionally used for analog television. It was originally conceived as a universal transport, in principle, allows the transfer of any digital data on any channel.

DVB presents several standards for the transmission of digital television: Satellite (DVB-S) Ether (DVB-T) Cable (DVB-C) Over Internet Protocol (DVB-IP) For portable devices (DVB-H)
