 A fort on a hill over the Vltava river  Was probably built in 10 th century  According to legend Vyšehrad was the seat of princess Libuše and the first Přemyslids  Vyšehrad Cemetary contains remains of many famous Czech people connected with history (Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák or Karel Čapek)  Slavín is a tomb at Vyšehrad Cemetery

 Historic square was founed in 12 th century  Located between Wenceslas Square and the Charles Bridge  There is the Old Town Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock with 12 apostles

 The Astronomical Clock is the third oldest in the world  It was first used in 15 th century (1410)  Jan Hus Memorial is in the middle of the square

 One of the most visited monuments  The oldest bridge across the Vltava river  Construction started in 1357 during the reign of Charles IV.  There are 30 Baroque statues and statuaries on the bridge. They depict saints and patron saints

 Bohemian sculptors connected with the statues were Matthias Braun and Jan Brokoff  There are many artists and musicians on the bridge
