4 History  In 9th century – Prague became the capital city of Bohemia and later of the Czech Kingdom  Period of Charles IV belongs to the most important periods of our history (he founded Charles Bridge, Charles university and so on)  Rudolf II invited many artists and scientists to Prague  1918 – capital city of the Czechoslovak Republic  1993 – capital city of the Czech Republic

5 Transport  In Prague people can travel by bus, underground, by tram and by train  U-bahn has three lines marked with letters and colors: A (green), B (yellow), C (red).  A has got 13 lines  B has got 24 lines  C has got 20 lines

6 Monuments Prag castle  Lies in Hradčany  St. Vitus cathedral  Saved crown jewellery

7 Charles Bridge  Construction started in 1357 and finished in the beginning of the 15th century  Charles Bridge is decorated by statues  Between Prague´s castle and Old Town city  516 metres long, 10 metres wide
