Coming 0f Age Ceremony’s What different responsibility’s do various religions’ do you take upon and what beliefs do they commit to after having a Coming of Age Ceremonies? do different sects and parts of the same religion have different beliefs and different responsibilities in Coming of Age Ceremony’s

Christianity and Baptism  Some parts groups of Christianity they have a coming of age ceremony called believers baptism where anyone from the age get baptized where they have to be fully submerged under holy water. Then they chose to believe that Christ is the son of god and from then on they are fully Christian and they have full membership to the church.  What are these responsibility's?  Some of the responsibilities of becoming fully Christian is going to confession, mass and participating in some of the seven sacraments  In other groups of Christianity the child is baptized at birth which some people disagree with because the baby does not have any religious views.

Apache girl coming of age ceremony  In the apache tribe when a girl comes of age then the girl has to be a strong woman in the tribe and she has to take up the responsibility of contributing in the tribe and keeping up their way of life.  Which include taking part in festivals, learning and speaking the native language, sometimes hunting for food and sometimes wearing the traditional clothes.

Brahmen coming of age ceremony  In Hinduism coming of age generally signifies that a boy is mature enough to understand his responsibility towards family and society. Hinduism also has the sacred thread ceremony, called Upanayana Brahmin boys that marks their coming of age.Upanayana  For this ceremony they make the three promises: respect to society, your parents and to knowledge.  The only boys that do this ceremony are the boys from the Brahmin caste. The Brahmins are the intellectuals.  Another part of this ceremony is going out into the city or town and collecting or begging for food. This represents being responsible for your own survival. After your coming of age ceremony you have to say prayers 3 times a day and you have to be responsible for yourself.

Bar Mitzvah and a bit of Bat Mitzvah  In Judaism a boy has a bar mitzvah and a girl has a bat mitzvah. In a bar mitzvah the boy has to read a parashah from the torah that he’s has been studying for a year.  After your barmitvah you have to take up the responsibility of doing all 613 mitzvoth. You also have to take responsibility for your actions.
